Personal project consisting of a prototype app for a hypothetical coffee company called Night Owl Coffee. The app includes logos, typography, icons, ai generated imagery, five pages and a start screen.
Mood Board

Sketching
Initial ideations and sketches. Concluded the hypothetical company to be a cafe that's open twenty four hours a day. The target demographic is adults in their twenties or thirties, who work late nights or need to stay up late to finish an assignment.

Logo Iterations
Iterated with an abstract illustration of an owls eye and beak. Experimented with the gestalt principles of closure and continuation. Concluded that the logo was not clear, and looked too much like a bouncing ball.

Second round of iterations with a symmetrical approach. Designed coffee beans for the eyes. Focused especially on the feathers, beak, and proportions. Created a detailed logo of a northern hawk owl. Concluded detailed design to be intimidating and not a good representation of a cozy coffee shop.

Final Logo

Site Map
Created site map planning out the path that a user would take in order to choose a coffee, customize it, add it to their order, and check out.

Application Iterations
Iterated on various typefaces and color pallets.

Ideated on several layouts and color pallets. Designed icons, and iterated to find the best way to design information, type, and buttons.

Style Guide
Created a style guide to build my final prototype. Designed final prototype using colors, typefaces, icons and buttons with consistency.
